WELCOME TO EDGEHILL GLIDING CENTRE
ABOUT
Welcome to an exciting new gliding adventure! We hope that you can join us. We are a new club, formed in 2022, but with the welcoming face that our many friends and supporters will recognise from the past.

We look forward to seeing you very soon!
OUR FUTURE PLANS
To be a hub for glider pilots and local people, run by volunteers for the benefit of members, visiting glider pilots and people from surrounding communities

Growing into a regional centre for gliding

Offering a full range of opportunities for pilots to develop at all stages of their gliding career

Becoming the national home for Juniors, and hosting Junior National competitions

Continuing the ever-popular Shenington Regionals

Becoming the ‘go to’ place for visiting pilots and clubs

Developing as the natural home for cross-country pilots, using uncluttered airspace to explore and extend flights ever further into all parts of England and Wales

Growing investment in new facilities, including new hangars for private gliders, a permanent clubhouse, bar and café, a new camp site with fixed tents and self-catering accommodation on site

OUR AIRFIELD
Edgehill Gliding Centre will operate from Shenington Airfield. This 80 acre airfield offers opportunities to fly safely in all wind directions, providing access to our local ridge and its winter soaring.
Members and visitors will have access to the clubhouse, bar, briefing room and kitchen facilities, as will all other airfield users.

Members and visitors will be able to stay on site, either camping or with a caravan.
